This, I dedicate to all the men and women who fight on the behalf of my country.

I wrote on a large card at an armed forces booth at the Ex in Ottawa I would dedicate a deviation for them, and so I did. I didn't really know how I would do it... I was thinking, since I'm a Sea Cadet, I could do something navy-themed. But boats are like BLARGHICAN'TDRAWTHEM! So, yeah. I decided to go with Ilium Enchanted, a world and story Skieborne created and I helped with (see, that girl is based loosely on Skieborne's old avatar) as it is a world plagued with war... easy to find a situation I imagine would relate to what they (those brave men and women) feel right now. It may seem pretty bleak, but here's a huge spoiler: we win.

A little of the story itself: That blue dragon is an Ilium, the most common species of dragon and based on Skieborne's dragon character Midnight. That green one is a Trillium, a demented cousin of the Ilium, and obviously has gender issues (you can have jaw spikes or nose spikes; not both!). S/he's sort of based on one of my dragon characters, Ruisdar. Basic story, dragons have human level intelligence and the two species live together peacefully (there are eight dragon races in all, including the animalistic Sea Dragons and Opterisks who are both of lesser intellect). One hybrid dragon goes crazy and finds a hidden species of worms (relatives of the lava-loving salamanders) who want to control dragons because they have the perfect bodies for the world. INVASION AND FIGHTING ENSUES FOR WORLD DOMINATION RAWR.

There's actually a guild for it on Gaia, where this story was created. Though I'm a lazy ass and won't fix it. Maybe focusing on Ilium Enchanted work will make me do stuff.
